BPI Welcomes Two New Directors

Join BPI in welcoming our two newest directors: Steve Catlett and Chris Coon.

Steve Catlett
Head – US Litigation & Americas Employment

Aon

Steve is responsible for all U.S. litigation as well as all employment issues in North and South America for Aon.  Formerly, he served as General Counsel of the Chicago Fire Department, and previously spent over 30 years in private practice as a partner in major global law firms, with a practice concentrated on employment litigation and class action defense.  After law school, he clerked for Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor.

Steve holds a JD from Columbia University Law School, where he was managing editor of the Columbia Law Review, and a BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School.  

He and his wife Beth, Chair of DePaul University’s Department of Women’s and Gender Studies, live in Chicago.


Chris Coon
Co-Founder and Lead Pastor

Urban Village Church

Chris has been in the ordained ministry as a United Methodist pastor since December of 1997. He is the lead pastor and co-founder of a multi-site United Methodist Church in Chicago called Urban Village Church. He previously served as pastor of Riverside United Methodist Church in Riverside, IL, and pastor of Christ United Methodist Church in Deerfield, IL. He published his first book in May 2017 called “Failing Boldly: How Falling Down in Ministry Can Be the Start of Rising Up.”

Chris holds an MDiv from the Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, an MSJ from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, and a BA from Simpson College in Indianola, IA.

Chris, his wife Anne, and their two children live in Chicago.
