BPI Welcomes Three New Directors

Join BPI in welcoming our three newest directors: Adam Chiss, Tony Iweagwu, and Jodi Wilson.

Adam Chiss
Division Counsel

Abbvie

Adam handles intellectual property litigation matters in the U.S. and around the world. Before joining Abbott Laboratories (AbbVie’s predecessor) in 2009, Adam was a senior litigation associate at Reed Smith, LLP in Chicago, where he practiced commercial, employment and intellectual property litigation matters. Prior to law school, Adam worked on Capitol Hill for Congressman John Dingell and U.S. Senator Carol-Mosely Braun.

Adam graduated magna cum laude with a JD from University of Illinois College of Law, and holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.


Tony Iweagwu
Senior Counsel

Uber Technologies

Tony joined the legal department of Uber in 2016. Previously, he was a policy advisor and counsel to Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel on matters of public safety for two years. He also served five years as Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, and two years as a law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Tony began his law career as an Associate in the antitrust department of the Chicago law firm Bell, Boyd & Lloyd (now K&L Gates).  

Tony holds a JD from Northwestern University School of Law, and a BA in Political Science from Northwestern University.


Jodi Wilson
Vice President and Assistant General Counsel
GoGo

Gogo provides in-flight connectivity and entertainment to airline passengers all over the world. In her role as Assistant General Counsel, Jodi specializes in employment and contract negotiation. Jodi began her legal career at the law firm of Mayer Brown in Chicago, and subsequently moved in-house, first to Heller Financial, then to Federal Signal in Oak Brook. Prior to entering law school, she worked as a newspaper reporter, and later as an advertising copywriter.

Jodi holds a JD from Northwestern University School of Law and a BA from Knox College.
